2014 Wishlist!

I'm trying to be good and save money this year but my birthday's coming up in a few weeks so I've had a think about some things I might treat myself to/hint about to family and friends!

1. Nars Narsissist Eye Palette. Ever since I saw a picture of this palette on Instagram last week I haven't been able to get it off my mind. That may sound a little strong but I mean, come on, just look at it! Containing fifteen gorgeous neutral shades including a few I've been lusting after for months (Hello, Ashes to Ashes!), I definitely don't think I'll be able to resist this one. It's already available in America and apparently will launch here on the 20th January, and then February 1st in department stores, retailing for £55. It will be limited edition so you may have to fight to get your hands on it but I'm sure this beauty will be worth it!

2. Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volumpte Lipstick. I only really started wearing lipstick in the past two years (Blame braces!) and although my collection is growing it still consists of mainly MAC, so this year I'd like to branch out a little. I've always thought the YSL lipstick packaging looks so luxurious and I know one of these would make me smile every time I pulled it out of my bag.

3. Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder. I have to blame Lily Pebbles and Vivianna Does Makeup for this one! Although I'm quite loyal to my Nars Laguna bronzer I have heard so much about this I'd love to give it a try.

4. Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil. 2013 was the year I well and truly fell in love with Nars, but I'm yet to try any of their lip products. I don't tend to wear matte lipstick as I don't think it suits me but these look a bit more moisturizing and slightly glossier than most matte offerings so I'm hoping I'll be brave enough to take my first dip in the matte lips pool with one of these.

5. Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede Cologne. I adore Jo Malone, the fragrances, the packaging, just everything about them. Blackberry & Bay is my favourite scent of all time but I do think it's a bit more suited to the colder months. I want to buy another Jo Malone fragrance in springtime to last me through summer and I think this is the one I'll go for as it smells divine.

6. Diptyque Candles. I've never tried Diptyque candles but I've always wanted to pick one up. Although a little more expensive (okay, double the price...) than my usual and much loved White Company candles, they are meant to be really good quality. This set from Selfridges (£60) contains mini versions of their three best selling scents so is a good choice if like me, you'd like to try the brand out.

7. Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Body Set. I received the almond coconut hand cream for christmas and it hasn't left my handbag since. It smells gorgeous and I catch myself sniffing my hands even hours after I've applied it. I'd like to try the Body Souffle and the Bath Honey.

8. MAC Sumptous Olive Eyeshadow. Although my MAC eyeshadow collection probably doesn't need adding to, I've had my eye on this for a while now and I think it would pair really well with some of my favourite shades. It doesn't look too exciting in the pan, but when swatched it's the most stunning golden green colour.

9. Eve Lom Rescue Mask. I've have heard such great things about this mask and my skin is in need of a little pick me up so I may splash out and purchase this. At the moment the only mask I own is Origins Drink Up Intensive so I definitely need to add this to my skincare drawer!

What's on your wishlist for 2014?

  4. That mac eyeshadow is on my list as well and I'm not a big eye shadow person! I also love that Jo Malone fragrance-- it was one of my top three Jo Malone choices!
